Diversity in Leadership Scholarship
How it works.
How to apply.
“I am incredibly grateful to receive the Diversity in Leadership Scholarship—coming from a family with long time financial struggles, even attending college is a massive risk. This award has allowed me to take a path that many in my community couldn't take. My dream is to become a Certified Public Accountant, a course that many find difficult, but one I’m prepared to work hard for. I want my success to inspire others in my community to see that college is possible if you plan for it correctly.”
Eberildo Ramos Matias, 2024 scholarship recipient
“The Embark scholarship is a dream come true. It will enable me to pursue my passion for education and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who may be struggling with reading. I am determined to show others that with perseverance and support, anything is possible.”
Leanna Rios, 2024 scholarship recipient
"Growing up with undocumented parents in Central Oregon, I was aware that although my parents worked multiple jobs tirelessly to provide me with the necessities of life, our family could be separated any day. As the first U.S. citizen in my family, this scholarship would be life-changing. I am aware that through my education I can get to a place where I can continue to help and actually change things for immigrant populations in my community."
Ashley Chavez, 2023 scholarship recipient
“Throughout history my people have been oppressed and silenced, especially in education. Embark’s scholarship has helped me to independently fund my own education and create a safety net for emergency situations, all while being loud and proud about the blood coursing through my veins.”
Dex Dumore, 2023 scholarship recipient
