What is Embark?

Embark is a 529 College Savings Plan designed to help people in (and outside of) Oregon save for their education. Any U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a Social Security number or tax ID can open, or be the beneficiary of, an Embark account. You can create an account online in just a few minutes, and there's a tax benefit for contributors who pay Oregon income tax.

Who’s eligible for Baby Grad?

Any Oregon baby under the age of one year old is eligible to receive $100 through Baby Grad.

Who’s eligible for Kinder Grad?

Any Oregon kindergartner who's five or six years old is eligible to receive $100 through Kinder Grad.

What information is needed to sign up for an account?

To open an Embark account, you'll need to provide a few pieces of personal information about yourself and the account's beneficiary.
